What is Your Compassion Score?
Compassion is more than sympathy — it is a skill that can be cultivated and strengthened. Research shows that compassion improves cooperation, resilience, and mental health. By practicing compassion, we not only reduce suffering but create systems rooted in justice and unity.

About Pato Banton
Pato Banton is a Grammy Nominated and internationally renowned Reggae Legend, who’s four-decade career has also earned him a place in the British Music Hall of Fame. Pato also received the prestigious BBC Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his tireless community work and his successful efforts to help reduce gun crime across his hometown of Birmingham England after two of his sons were shot in a drive by shooting. Inspired by the teachings of The Urantia Book, Pato’s journey has increasingly transcended the music industry and more into Spiritual Ministry and Music Outreach for “at risk” young people in disadvantaged communities via schools, colleges and prisons, plus writing educational curriculum for children with learning disabilities.
In 2020 and in recognition of their International Outreach Efforts, Pato & his wife Antoinette Rootsdawtah were both presented with the prestigious “Unity Earth ~ Keepers Of The Flame Award” and later that year they were both appointed as “Goodwill Ambassadors of the Golden Rule” by Ambassador Mussie of the United Nations & United Religions Initiative ~ Africa.
In 2025 after producing the award winning documentary entitled “The Spirit Of Ubuntu” Pato has been mostly focussed on spreading the Ubuntu Philosophy “I Am because We Are” around the world and in partnership with the Charter of Compassion has been building schools, homes for the homeless and digging boreholes to provide fresh water to many communities across Africa.
Most recently Pato was invited to the Los Angeles City Council Chambers and presented with the “Caribbean Cultural Heritage Award” in recognition of his ability to use music as a tool to engage diverse communities with a Message of Love and Compassion! The State Of California Senate also awarded Pato with the “Las Rosas Honors” in recognition of his contribution to the arts and culture of the Caribbean and Central American Communities, jointly creating a richer and more diverse culture in the City of Los Angeles and the State of California.
Now based in Southern California, Pato and Antoinette continue to record and tour the world extensively, promoting justice, peace and compassion, while simultaneously serving as Teachers, Counselors, Mentors and “Spiritual Ministers of the Verb”.
